1. Inisha Nunka: Research Centre and Healing Lodge
The ancestral territories of Inisha Nunka “Grandmothers Mother Earth.” The Chiriap family areasmall group including leaders, Elders, and Shaman. They live in a community of 1200 named Buena Esperanza where Inisha Nunka is located. Approximately 70 hectares Inisha Nunka is legally entitled land. Our main purpose is to work towards preserving Shuar Science and finding sustainable biocultural socio-ecological heritage projects and territories in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Identifying Shuar-led conservation strategies for our ancestral territories including our sacred jungles/temples/waterfalls. The mission is to share Shuar knowledge and ancient wisdom with the world. They hope to share the knowledge from their ancestors to heal human beings in a natural way from their territory in the Amazon and using natural plant medicines from Inisha Nunka "Grandmothers Mother Earth." Inisha Nunka is 70 hectares of preserved intact rainforest, where the eco-friendly healing centre is located, and we are working to reforest the lost Shuar territories around it.
Inisha Nunka is working with a legally registered NGO in Ecuador as of 2022. We have an internationally registered bank account with the Bank de Pinchicha.
Inisha Nunka’s Goals:
a) Create an eco-friendly community-led biocultural research centre and healing lodge.
b) Create educational programs and sustainable projects for the Shuar communities and exchange of cultures.
c) Protect sacred waterfalls, our lost city, uncontacted beings "Jurijri" lagoons of charms Tsunki, water fountains for birds and animals.
d) Produce Research, study plant beings and medicines, study special sacred animals that make rain and have healing powers.
e) Recovery of ancestral territories that are in danger of extinction.
